The Safety and Security of our children are a priority at TSUS. Children are never left unattended, and support staff and teachers are on duty to ensure that children board and disembark from the school vehicles safely. Transport registers document attendance both in the morning and in the afternoons. Photo ID cards are issued to the parent/guardian, and these need to be produced when the child is handed over at the pickup point each day. Bus log books are maintained and are updated daily. In Elementary and Junior and Senior School, the teacher escorts the children during dispersal - to ensure that the child boards the right bus.
Yes, we do. All our School Buses are Air conditioned Buses.All the buses and vans have a Lady Guard and she ensures that all children are well attended to. Teachers will escort them to school transportation.
Our curriculum and pedagogical practices are progressive in Nature. All Shri Educators are enriched through Teacher Empowerment Programs frequently and are well exposed to all school practices. Every child is Unique and is born with his /His own inherent abilities. We use multiple Learning styles to highlight the concept and the principles in Thus enabling Concept comprehension in all. There is no formal assessment till Grade –II, It is a Regular and ongoing learning curve that governs the skills in children. The ongoing evaluation system focuses on Knowledge ,comprehension, Logic and Application, ensuring that Higher Order Thinking Skills are developed in the children. A record of the academic progress and cognitive and physical development of the children of all the classes is maintained by the teachers. These are shared periodically with parents, and strategies for enhancing the child’s abilities are designed.
At TSUS, for a healthy interaction in the class, the student-teacher ratio never goes above 1:10.Our student strength in class is 25. Besides this we follow a Two Teacher Policy. This helps in creating a close bond between the teacher and the student.Thus enabling customisation of Learning to suit the learner.
The entire school is covered with CCTV cameras, and all gates are manned by security guards. All systems and processes are in place to ensure the safety of the child on the school premises and while in the school building. Children are always accompanied by Teachers and Support Staff. On Total emergencies if a child has to be gathered , an Outpass is issued and Parental Identity is verified stringently before the Exit Formalities.
The school has trained housekeeping staff under an efficient supervisor. Frequent inspection by the Facility Manager , Campus incharge and the supervisor occur and this process ensures a clean environment. The support staff is regularly trained in hygiene. The campuses have RO systems with water coolers to provide safe and clean drinking water. The quality of the water supply is monitored carefully throughout the year.
Healthcare facilities are available in the school medical room,-INFIRMARY, which functions under the guidance of a full-time, experienced nurse. The medical room is fully equipped to give first aid in case of any emergency. The health centre of the school organises regular medical checkups for staff and students. We also organise awareness camps on various health problems. Health and Nutrition is prioritised and children are frequently inducted on Healthy Eating practices.
